Default Visiting the Villages next week

My husband and I will be visiting next week with the hopes of purchasing a home. We'll be looking at homes in the low 200's. Does anyone have positives or negatives about certain villages. We are VERY social and don't want to be in an isolated quiet area. Appreciate any comments. Thanks.

Thumbs up Exciting Time

Dancer64 you're in for a ride of your life. Very exciting as it was for us. You fail to mention new or preown. New homes whether already built or choose your style to be built and then there's the preowned homes with lavish niceties installed along with mature landscaping. Many bargains on the preowned homes. As for any Village nicer than another - nah. You'll find that each Village may have a personality all it's own but NONE that I've seen deter from one another. And when they say "The Villages, Florida's Friendliest Home Town" it is for the most part until you start talking politics. LOL!!!

Welcome aboard and have fun with your hunting.

The Villages Florida

You will love it here..The people are all so friendly, and willing to help with most anything you need..

I agree with everything F16 said..""You'll find that each Village may have a personality all it's own but NONE that I've seen deter from one another. And when they say "The Villages, Florida's Friendliest Home Town""

Thanks for the info, good luck selling your home, we finally sold ours in NY after 18 months, moved to Myrtle Beach to a quiet community, not a good fit, and now are contemplating a move again, we are line dancers so think TV is the perfect place.

Here's a suggestion. Come for the "lifestyle visit"... enjoy the freebies, travel with a realtor, zip around in a golf cart and the bikes... if you want to become a Villager after that, rent a place for a minimum of 3 months. Take the time to answer your own question. You will never regret taking your time to buy your home.
