We have our design meeting in two weeks! At this point it is a toss up between the Begonia and the Sunflower ... A lot will depend on what damage we do on the budget inside! We are stretching the den and the lanai, but a few questions to you experts!
We saw one that, in the garage, the utility closet did not go to the wall, there was about a two and a half foot indentation between the closet and outer wall. Is that an upgrade?
In the notes above, I t sounds like there are options for the sliders in the lr ... Are there?
If you had to do one thing different ... What would it be?
As always, you are great .... Thanks

That spot next to the closet is a stretch. We went 4' wide (requires an 18' door) and 2' deep as that is all they would allow. We have a 4' space to the side of the utilities closet. Nice spot for a fridge ;)

The living room slider option is called a stackable slider. There are four doors. They all move. You open them from the middle and push all the way, and they disappear on either side. That is, from the inside you see no slider at all. On the outside the panels are stacked in front of the stucco wall on either side of the doorway. It really opens the room and the lanai up, and I'm so glad to have it.

Our salesman investigated replacing his fixed sliders with stackable ones and found the price to be prohibitive--over $2000, I believe.

Good luck on all your decisions! Here's to a happy build!

Yes, I'm doing one built in not above ground, out in the sun not under the lanai

We built an Iris in July. Highly recommend the 4 ft stretch in lanai and we did 2ft in garage adding an additional dedicated plug for a fridge. Had extra insulation placed in lanai roof, addition concrete pad poured to thevend of home outside of lanai, insulated garage doors and placed cable in outlets up high to wall mount televisions. What I am sorry we did not do was to add a desk like cabinetninnthenkitchen beyond the wine rack, getting prices now. I am going to contact the gentleman on this thread. Thanks for the info.
