Default Saturday’s Arts and Crafts Festival Cancelled Due to COVID-19 Concerns

Due to the rising concerns surrounding COVID-19, Saturday’s Arts and Crafts Festival at Lake Miona, Sea Breeze, and Eisenhower Recreation Centers have been cancelled.

Richard Baier, District Manager said, “As we are being advised that large, indoor events carry a particularly elevated risk factor for spreading the virus, we have decided to cancel this particular event. For now, all of our District facilities remain open with residents free to make their own decisions regarding their activities including participation in sports, resident lifestyle club meetings and other events. We will continue to monitor the situation and make the appropriate scheduling decisions in a prudent manner.”

In addition, The Villages Entertainment Division has announced that all shows scheduled next week at the Sharon, The Studio, and the Savannah Centers are cancelled. All entertainment at the town squares is cancelled indefinitely as well.

***UPDATE: Based on advice from Gov. Ron DeSantis and health officials, the St. Patrick's Day Festival planned at Lake Sumter Landing has been cancelled.

As stated above,
All entertainment at the town squares is cancelled indefinitely as well.

"Indefinitely" means until further notice.
