certainly glad I never had to share a fox hole with any of these idiots that just refuse to listen and think they know it all
How about this instead?

FOLLOW THE ADVISORY!!! It's written in clear, unambiguous English. If you personally want to go beyond what is stated, you're free to do so. But do not call anyone who is less paranoid than you "selfish", "unpatriotic", or an "idiot", because I'm sure those people think the same of YOU

You are correct antibiotics are not effective against viruses. The reason they are treating with antibiotics is not to kill the virus but to treat the resulting pneumonia caused by the virus. In this case you are treating a respiratory infection not the actual virus. The reason they are using antivirals is because they decrease the viral load. If you can decrease viral load and treat the pneumonia in time there is a benefit to using both drugs. Does that help explain?

You are so right. I don’t know why people think the governor needs to order this for the whole state. Every darn evening the president is out there at least an hour answering questions and infectious disease specialist tell us what to do. Since we are a free country, unlike China, we have liberty. Unless martial law is ordered then the government can not take away your liberty. We shouldn’t have to enforce martial law for people to use the recommended guidelines. Also I think some people need to take out a tape measure to understand how far 6 feet. Most people know someone who is that tall so use that as a measure of how far 6 feet is. Unfortunately a lot of people don’t understand or just choose to ignore it. People don’t need to be out shopping everyday. Make a meal plan and grocery list then stick to it. Just because you are bored doesn’t mean you get to go grocery shopping to get out of the house. People going to the grocery store everyday are not only putting themselves at risk as well as the rest of us. A grocery aisle is generally less than 6 feet. If someone walks past you in the same aisle they are approximately 3 feet apart not the recommended 6. That is why going to the grocery store needs to a NECESSITY NOT AN OUTING.

Default We have no idea how many Villagers really have the COVID-19 Virus

The only reason the positive is so small in The Villages is because the only real testing done here has been at The Polo Grounds. The 250+ daily has been mostly asymptomatic for just research and a few who were clinical (have a cough, shortness of breath, on a cruise or out of state or may have been in Contact with someone suspected of virus) PLUS anyone who signed up between 8am 930 am OnLine Were the only ones Who got scheduled for the next day. And finally, could be anyone with computer did not have to be from The Villages. Sample doesn’t tell us anything except that some of us were able to figure out how to get online and make an appointment to be tested the next day. Proves nothing about how many are walking around with the virus in The Villages. Just saying.......

The Anytime Fitness gym on 44 reports on their website members have the option can freeze or cancel you membership. However, there appears to be no way to contact them. As such, unsure and maybe unfair but appears to be a Covid-19 scam to keep direct member billing in place, regardless that many/most of their members are retired seniors. If anyone knows how or has been successful contacting them, please reply.

Default One redeeming feature of idiots crowding into LSL etc

They have undeveloped brains as do the 18 year olds during spring break. The only good news is a higher percentage of these idiots will die than those of us being careful so they will be taken out of the gene pool thereby saving future generations.

[QUOTE=theruizs;1737671 do we really need to be ordered to follow an advisory [/QUOTE]

Ordered to follow an advisory? I'm going to have to think about that one.

Gee whiz, we are already locked up and most people I know are doing the correct thing. These people going out every day for more are just silly, the exposure in a crowd, even in a line, is greater. If this goes on for much longer, more and more people will break with the safe behavior because it is unsustainable. The high number of deaths is just a guess and I do not believe it will hit that high but no one can know how high it will get not even the experts. I am glad that Sumter County finally issued an alert. Where have they been?

A lot of people aren’t doing anything. There mad because of dog parks close( that’s not to protect the dogs) It’s to protect humans. People are still
Having parties. Playing cards, etc. those are the ones that should be forced to stay in.this will never clear up w/ people like that.

Great suggestions. I’ve been writing an autobiography for my children and grands. I want them to one day be able to share it with their kids when they study or read about the Covid-19 Pandemic of 2020. I don’t think we’re all going to make this out alive here in The Villages from this virus, so I’m preparing my small legacy by staying at home and creating something worthwhile. Good luck, everyone, and please stay home as much as possible.💕

I "just" saw on FB that LSL is closed. I'm not sure if this is true...but one of the responses said it was due to "construction". I don't know that if it's true it's related to folks congregating there. There were enough people making comments to made me think the area is closed off.

People that are whining about the golfing are obviously not golfers. Not really a contact sport if you practice social distance.

Some of the posts in this thread AND OTHER threads are absolutely disrespectful. I'll start with someone asking a physician with decades of education and experience if they are 12 years old. I've made posts only to be answered in a highlighted fashion "what part don't I understand".
Hey, everyone is stressed and out of their comfort zone. But responses should be RESPECTFUL to the fellow human on the other end. That said, I'm not Amish, so not really into turning the other cheek. We should just try to relax and take this a day at a time.
