everyone should use common sense and stay in as much as possible; doesn't matter if it is a law or not--it's a matter of staying healthy. at least when we look out our front doors or windows or sit on our lanais we see beautiful houses and landscaping, we really shouldn't complain about staying home. Gov. DeSantis is doing a wonderful job and he is all but getting on his hands and knees and begging the people of NY not to come here and now begging us in Sumter County to stay home as much as we can. no one was prepared for this so no one has definite answers or solutions, we can only speculate what to do and hope it helps.

Beautifully put.

Seems to be a repeat of history of the Spanish Flu, if you read the the story, only difference is we don't know the end of our story yet.

The Spanish Flu took two years to end and left over 50 million people dead worldwide.
Enjoy your Golf and Parties.
God save us all.
At the time of the flu in 1918 there were no antibiotics. Medical practices included blood letting and enemas. We are in a different world.

Look up the word advisory. Fancy word for recommendation. We have been recommended before and some people still don't get it. This is not going to change anything unless it can be enforced. That can only happen with an order and authority given to enforce

Blood letting in the US in 1918 , I don't think so, could you imagine going to a hospital and the doctor doing that lol.
If the antibiotics are working why are thousands of people dying?
Be lucky you don't live in Spain.
If you are 65 and older they are now removing the ventilators and giving sedation and the patients die, why are they doing this because they don't have enough ventilators and are giving them to the young Spaniards so they will live. The doctors are fighting against doing that. How is that for a reality check.
As you know we don't have a vaccine and probably won't for a year, hopefully have one before the second wave.

Antibiotics don't work on Viruses. This is much more serious than any health emergency I have seen in my life. Ebola was very serious as well and people were allowed to come to this country infected. It has taken awhile for everyone to grasp it, to get it, to try to understand it and we still don't know how long it will last or whether it can reinfect. As you said, the one thing that can help us we don't have yet and that is a vaccine to immunize against it. We have no anti-viral and the Malaria drug is still just really being tested. I haven't heart a valid thumbs up for it yet. All we can do is stay away from anyone who could be carrying it to us.

Default Cruise

And now there are two Holland America cruise ships heading for Florida to disembark hundreds of sick people and 4 dead into the Florida community. I think the Governor has his college fund paid for in full, lol.
PS they are mostly Foreign nationals, per the Governor.

Walking and running and going to store is not staying at home either but if you practice social distancing it is okay.

I don't understand all this nonsense that people don't know what "Stay at home, wash your hands, 6' distance when have to go out" means. Are you folks dumb or just want to die by suffocation from the pneumonia you'll get!?! Catch up on the stuff you need to, go thru your junk and throw it out, garden around your home, write memoirs for your grandchildren, learn another language online, order an instrument on line and then take music lessons online, sing in the street, go for a drive and just enjoy the sights and then go home without stopping anywhere, BUT MOST OF ALL, ISOLATE YOURSELF OR DIE. This is not tough, you're just stupid, dumb, arrogant, self-centered, think you're entitled, or compliant. Now go sing the song, "Stay the f...k at home."

Well... now that was putting it mildly. But then there are some folks who let their dogs think for them.

What difference does it make? As intelligent adults do we really need to be ordered to follow an advisory based on what experts think are best to keep the spread under control? No matter what you call it, if you do not follow it, the result is the same.

So, anyone who is following the ADVISORY, which explicitly states it's ok to go out for food, medical reasons, and outdoor activity including running and golfing, is "stupid, dumb, arrogant, self-centered, and entitled"????? Do the rest of us a favor and YOU stay the f..k at home
