Default 3,500 rental cars burn near Fort Myers airport

Fire near Florida airport burns more than 3,500 rental cars
Business is slow. No need to sanitize

Gee I wonder how rental cars suddenly start exploding and catching on fire in a grassy parking lot at night? It's a mystery

It's not like rental car business at airports has been decimated or anything.

I can't imagine over 7,000 rental cars on stand by at Southwest Florida Intl Airport. Better check the Carfax when buying used...

IMHO, one car (maybe electric??), maybe a careless smoker, maybe a rental with a hot catalytic converter started a small grass fire, wind in the right direction, and it spreads car to car. It has been so dry, I am sure the grass was very dry, pictures and video very impressive.
