Here is the official answer I got from FDOT.

Thank you for reaching out!

This project has not been placed on hold.
There are different factors that may affect work on the construction site that can range from weather to labor and materials issues, among other reasons.
I will make sure to voice your concerns to the project team and please be rest assured that they are doing their best to move things along and get the job done.

At least they answered you but guess they do not want us to know why this is taking so long.

Don't you feel good that they are doing their best to move things along?

Will remember that tomorrow when we have to go there.

Besides we are only the taxpayers paying for this so we do not count.

As they said on Seinfeld, Yada yada. We stay away from that area like COVID. Only go up that way for Sams or HD. The area is horrible. I feel bad for folks that must travel there every day.

That is a BS answer. There has been no sign of any work being done in this section for weeks. I'm not talking about the area where the bridge is in the process of being removed.

They probably think we are too dumb to realize this.

Agree. The disruption getting to some of the stores with no left turns allowed when heading north, is a PIA.

I know, I know, I know.........first world problems.

Horrific traffic.I avoid the area. Buy online instead

Would hope the stores are putting pressure on whoever is doing this so called construction.

Drove there about 11 30 this morning and not a workman to be seen with lots of traffic and waiting for more than one light to go accross intersections.

We are certainly coming to this area less and less and has to be hurting all the stores and restaurant over here.

My answer in an earlier post is part of the answer. They always investigate after a major injury or death on a job site.

No matter the direction you are traveling in if you are looking at the bridge that is secured by gigantic bolts and metal beams that are blue in color then you are looking at something that is highly irregular. It is dangerous in my opinion to drive on that stretch of road. To be a worker exposed to those conditions is just downright disrespectful to those who work there. The small blocks they use as curbing are not even painted a bright color. Rookie Bush League Contractors and Inspectors.
