The add is for TOOLS ACE HARDWARE.

As to an anesthesiologist-Before any surgery you investigate the Dr. You do not usually know who the anesthesiologist is until the bill comes. The fact is that the anesthesiologist is more likely to kill you that the doctor you chose.

Possibly because my son was about seven years old at the time, Dr. Moneymaker came in and introduced himself to us prior to the surgery. He was quite affable.

Wow, my nephew's name is Jason -- I wonder if he ever heard the above. I know I never have. Thanks so much for giving me something I can use as a note in his birthday card. He'll so appreciate my customary check and maybe, even maybe he'll like Auntie B's anecdote about his name.

A friend of mine is a police officer in a city where the uniform nametags display last names. Pilkington, McNaughten, Nguyen, etc. Unfortunately, hers is Dick.

The chief finally relented and changed hers to read "Melanie," but that still kind of juvenilizes her.

I just remembered my favorite "name" story; When my daughter was in the Coast Guard serving on the USS Washington, when a visiting captain from another ship came on board, he was announced by the name of his ship. For example, her captain was announced as; "Washington on board." She said one of the cutters was named the USS Midget for some reason, and when her captain visited, they had to announce "Midget on board" with a straight face.

My poor Godson’s initials are CAC. To this day (40 now), he is called Doo-Doo by his “friends”. I tried to warn his mother, but ....

The initials of a girl I had a crush on in high school were BM. I never mentioned it to her or anyone else but I did of course notice.

When I worked in the Pediatric ER many years ago, we had more than one patient named Female, derived from when the baby was brought to her mother in a bassinet labeled Female with mom's last name....pronounced as Fe-MAL-ee.
