Default The Moon!

Wow, check out the moon tonight! I think it's the biggest full moon in the history of moons. I base this on... nothing formal. Just visual inspection.

Default South of 466A

It is interesting this thread is here, as my wife and I were struck by the exact same thing. Here is the moon rising, taken from Morse Blvd south of 466A looking across where the tees will eventually be for the Sarasota driving range. It was much more dramatic in person...

I measure the moon by the number of trees it spreads across in my backyard. I am in Virginia and it was a monster tonight. Must be closer to earth right now or something. But I agree the largest moon ever.

Full moon has always been a favorite time for us - when we were in Sarasota it was a good excuse to take the boat across the bay to a waterside restaurant. Here in The Villages our favorite spot is the high point on the trail between Legacy Lane and the Springdale pool. You'll usually find us on the bench up there with a bottle of wine - tonight we were amused by some English folks playing the ninth hole of Walnut Grove in semi-darkness - totally nuts - gotta try it some time. And . . . there are the folks that go to the Polo Grounds for the full moon and bang their drums. Can you believe it - excuse me while I comb the hair growing on the backs of my hands . . . . .

I am in the clouds here in Indiana, too, Bill-n-Brillo. No moon to be seen tonight...supposed to get 3 to 4 inches of snow starting around 4:00AM.

Special to us as well. We went to the beach with our wine and watched it rise, came home to a fish dinner (we caught them ourselves) and much needed shower!! When we get to TV we'll look for you on the trail.

The best way to celebrate the full moon is the party at Bomba's Shack on the island of Tortola BVI. A wild time to say the least. Here is a links.

Here in Ohio we are currently in you yearly solar eclipse that lasts from about Nov 1 to April 1. On the local weather this evening they stated that we have had on 7 days since Dec 1 that could be considered as sunny and the other 43 were mostly to totally cloudy. Solar tubes sure would not work here in Ohio during the winter.
