It is listed as 1,060 MG per serving, which is half a package, but half of the package looks like a very small serving.

I just picked one up at Publix today. My husband loves making his own chili so it will be interesting to see if he likes it.

I agree. Chili on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Pizza on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. On Sunday, I eat whatever I want.

I split the serving making two portions. 2nd portion, today, went for a out of sight chili dog. So guess that's a double sodium hit all at once, but it was good (and I skipped the bun, so that helped).

I'm willing to give that a go! Are the canned and frozen versions about the same, or is one superior? It costs about 3 times the Great Value brand of the same size.

On our departure from Ohio yesterday my last stop was to go " Krogering " to bring back some Yoder's brand corn meal mush, my breakfast favorite.

So, I thawed out the 13.25 ounce package of Skyline chili in the refrigerator overnight. Heated it a saucepan with a 15 ounce can of "no salt added" pinto beans (drained and rinsed), and a half cup of chopped onion. I give it a 4 out of 5 star rating.

As a native Cincinnatian, and UC grad (where I used to work at La Rosa's), I approve this message.

Lived in Cincinnati 25 years. The local chili is an " acquired " taste. I always liked Gold Star better then Skyline. A three way with a Coney on the side.
