The Koran does not preach murder of innocents, whether infidel or not. In fact, it is the exact opposite. What people are being taught is a bastardized version. It is easy to twist words into whatever you want and the Imans do exactly that. The people can't read the word themselves and, of course, cannot believe that a man of God would speak anything but the truth. Hopefully, one day, they will be taught of the beauty and love in the Koran. As yet, they are only taught the ugliness and hatred (which can be found in pretty much any book -- go read some older versions of the Bible [the Crusades were easily justified by the writings of that time].

As to this being political, it probably is, but at least it's interesting and, as yet, has not resorted to name calling.

first of all let me say that you need a new version of the Koran. Although it may see the opposite and some very good things you must read on further where it will say something different that's not so good. The rules regarding the Koran say that the later passage is the one to be followed.

Second infidels are not innocents according to Islam.

Third according to Islam in order to understand the Koran you must be able to read it in early Arabic.

Finally may recommend a book. That is if you want a good understanding. The book is the politically incorrect guide to Islam and the Crusades by Robert Spencer.

Just Some thoughts

Then the NON-Political part of TOTV got his three TSA threads in a row followed by this particular thread.

Boomer, your insight is spot on!

First of all, I'm glad you're paying attention and reading my threads. I, personally, until this unsolicited attack on me, had never heard of you.

I've been a member here for a while now, and was before the political column got too hot for your sensitive eyes to read. I'll post wherever I like, if you don't mind, and not just in political, even though I have a great interest in the topic of politics.

I don't concern myself with non-comment on threads as it is the number of reads that are more indicative of interest. Some people post and say nothing of note, as you are well aware of and a prime offender, I now realize.

It pleases me now, though, that you have been sitting at your computer fuming at something I've written. I only wish you were man enough to engage in a discussion of ideas instead of taking this childish shot at me.
I don't know you and you don't know me and out of the blue you attack me. Very pitiful conduct.
