I would not say Bergdahl or Tahmooressi is heroic. Bergdahl walked away from his unit because he did not want to be there any longer and got taken prisoner and held for 4 years(?). Sounds like desertion. My own belief is that the Taliban said Bergdahl would be executed and the video shown IF the prisoner exchange was not made. The video probably would have said The President made the choice to let the American be executed. Definitely, a no-win situation.

Tahmooressi made a terrible error by crossing into Mexico by getting on a wrong road late at night with loaded guns in his vehicle(?). He might not have been the sharpest knife in the drawer- but not deserving of 200 days in prison by any means. Sounds like he was lost.

No comparison between these two men at all.

I made no comparison. I simply answered an inquiry into why the tension and there was tension NOT because of the people involved as you present it, but more on how it was handled by .....to be safe....lets say...powers to be.

There are a number of articles making this case, but will not supply links at this time....much to p......l . However if you google both names you will have your choice. BUT I was not making any comparison between the two men or their actions.

I can hardly wait to see him interviewed on TV. I want to see what he says. Marines are not stupid, especially after serving 2 years in combat. He is a Hero in my book.

Our president had nothing to do with his release. Thank you Fox news for your persistent coverage on this terrible event.

Since Tahmooressi and his mother both say he has severe PTSD, do you personally feel he should be allowed to keep guns on his person, in his home, or in his car?

As for being stupid, I doubt if he is stupid.

Im a bit skeptical about this whole story and the way it has developed.

Hope we find a factual discussion of the Sgt's actions and why the Mexican and American govts reacted (didn't react) in the ways that have been reported to date.

Wasn't Andrew Tahmooressi just in the Marine Reserves after serving his active duty time? When I got released from active duty in the Army, I still had inactive reserve duty but no one called me an Army Sergeant. Why continue to call this reservist a Marine Sergeant? He is a CIVILIAN!!
