They have wasted your time, so you get the satisfaction of wasting their time.

Scam calls. I bought my car used and never had a warranty. Still I get calls asking me to renew, even got a few notices in the mail.

LOL
Just lay the phone down without hanging up. At least it'll tie up one of their lines.

Default Too Many Robo Calls

Just like the Chinese lady who said I MUST give my personal details AND Social Security info IMMEDIATELY or my Micro Soft computer will die. We know its her as the phone call appears on my TV screen as ME CALLING MY OWN NUMBER.. dead give away....

Why do people still answer calls where you do not recognize the number? If it happens to be someone I know calling from a different number they will leave a message. Otherwise I just send calls to voicemail.

One reason is that it may be a doctor or nurse calling with test results. They don't always call from the same number. Sure, they may leave a message, but you may not be able to reach them when you call back. Or, it could be a business calling to reschedule an appointment. Also, it could be a call from a friend or relative that you haven't talked to in awhile. I think a lot of people are not comfortable letting an incoming call go by without answering it.

In the last month, we’ve gotten probably 8-10 recorded calls from RNC. And they leave a message!

I hate this time of year. Not only that, but just about every commercial is political.

Exactly. If we did not answer a call from an unknown number we could not have converted an upcoming Dr appt from virtual to an actual one.

I used to get them every day, driving me crazy and I never owned a time share. Finally, thoroughly ticked I yelled the one asking how to get you people to stop calling me. His response was "Jump out of a window and die".
