Almost Mensa

I passed the test but never joined. I was too smart to give into my own hubris. :eclipsee_gold_cup:

I got 19 of these but it took me about 10 minutes.

This test seems very culturally biased.

I got 19 of these filled out and then gave up. 19 or better is supposedly "genius". No sense going for 33. These would be easy to get with access to the Internet. I just looked at them until something popped into my head.

There actually is a Mensa Club here.

Meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month (except July-August, and November-December, when it's usually too close to holiday activities), 4:30pm - 6:00pm, at Tierra del Sol Rec Center. Many members go to dinner together afterwards, sometimes at Tierra del Sol CC, sometimes at Hacienda Hills CC. The location usually depends upon whether there is loud entertainment or not! The choice is for where it is "quiet!"

Membership is open to all, even those who may not or do not "qualify" as Mensans!

Join me in this fascinating and mind-challenging group!

Gee, I thought they met at Crispers on the third Friday of the month at 3:00 pm.

Wow, Swrinfla, I thought you were just another pretty face!

Hawkwind:

I think that you've confused Mensa with mensa. TOTV-ers who meet at Crisper's may be mensans!

Graciegirl:

Ah, but my pretty face is cover for a reasonably good brain! :jester:

I refuse to answer on the grounds that I might incriminate myself.

so if one can pass a test one gets a title/lable?
Like a plumber? Electrician? Nurse? Doctor? Pilot? Et al?

I have read here in TV where they seek other Mensans out to propogate/participate "higher level" conversations.

Always was too intellectual for me as I prefer the reality of the day to day world in which we live...regardless of the level.

As in so many other issues/clubs/politics/beer.....to each his/her own.

Actually, I'm qualified to be a member, but wouldn't enjoy it. In the normal world I can be my usual smart ass self, and feel smarter than most people (at least in my fantasy world!)

If I join Mensa I'll know that nearly everyone in the group is smarter than I am, lol.

Years ago, back in my old state. I was a member.
