What in Heavens name am I going to do with more framed stuff???
Oh my...I am seriously addicted! I've completed about 20, just finished one, another one about 20% finished and a huge one waiting! Yep, I've got dots on the floor, and dog. Yes, I would join!

There had been a group meeting at Silver Lake in Southside RC. I don't see it listed unless it's called something different than Diamond Painting. Try calling the Rec Center--they'd know if the group is meeting or is on hold due to the Covid19. The coloring group that meets at Mulberry welcomes Diamond Painting folks too.

I started doing diamond art when the pandemic hit. I love dogs, especially goldens, so I did several of them. I bought cheap frames and hung them in the garage where I see them when I pull the car in. Don't worry, the urge to do them will fade in time. Yes, I had a lot of beads all over the house but I think most of them have been vacuumed up.

I have done 4 of these by now - Diamond Dotz and YES, those little beads end up on the floor!! I find them very relaxing to do and it sure passes the time during these stupid pandemic days. I have them all framed by a young lady named Tammy Reedy just off Highway 42 in The Villages who has her own shop. She does a fantastic, professional job AND she's cheaper than anything you can get at Michaels!! Three of mine are large paintings - one a blue peacock, one a Mediterranean villa scene and one a painting by Van Gogh "Wheat Fields". The 4th one is a bunch of poppies that I framed myself.

I have been part of THAT group for several years, but have not attended since March due to the Pandemic. As soon as Helene and I are vaccinated, we will attend again. That is so good to know. Thank you.

I would love to see pictures of them on this forum. I have just done one and it was very simple and took several days. I would work on it until my back hurt and then go and find chocolate to eat.

I was not aware of this technique. It seems very interesting. It reminds me of the ancient art of sand painting used by monks. They would spend months on a piece of art in prayer and when it was finished it would be swept away. The art was the process not necessarily the product. (Sort of like playing golf?)

Wow, I had never heard of this. I learn something new every day. I looked it up (with DuckDuckGo, not Google LOL) Interesting and sparkly! Reminds me of coloring with glitter gel pens which I enjoy doing. However my addiction is 3D jigsaw puzzles. I just finished putting together my 5 building Christmas village. This year we seem to have more time to do these types of hobbies. Happy Thanksgiving!

Default Diamond Art

I do 6 of these a year. Great to take up some time. I have them under the guest room bed once I complete one. On to a new one.
