Was anyone in Atlanta airport yesterday? Got home at 5 a.m. A storm in Atlanta had an incredibly exponential effect. In all of my years of travel I have never experienced anything like last night. My flight from Baton Rouge scheduled for 6:30 pm was cancelled. They put me on the 8:30 am flight which left at 5:50 pm. People had been in the airport since 6 am that morning. Atlanta was in total meltdown. It was gridlock in the terminals. When you came up from the train escalators it was wall to wall people and you couldn't even move. Security kept telling people to walk to the right. The line for changes was about 5 gates long. Crews were timing out. Kudos to the Delta gate agents who kept their calm amid horrendous circumstances.
