car insurance

Join AARP. Use their Hartford auto insurance (not regular Hartford) for big savings. After 3 months, you can never be dropped & that is supplied in the policy. Also small yearly increases.

American Integrity is terrible to work with and yes they rarely will replace a roof even is they are needed.

Nice job!
Very useful research.

I was with Liberty Mutual. Great service, but pricy. I then comparison shopped and came up with Safeco as the winner. I then compared that to Geico and Safeco remained in the lead.

If you're so inclined, consider adding Safeco to the list and post.

Thanks

We had Safeco through AAA for some years. Then AAA notified us that they would not represent Safeco anymore. Don't know why, but we switched to Travelers through The Villages Insurance.

I have Travelers, $900.00 which includes Accident Forgiveness, Minor Violation Forgivenes. You get discounts by Safe Driver, Multi-Policy, Good Payer, Continuous Ins, early quote, anti-lock brakes, passive restraint. Make sure your Ins Agent is getting you all of those.
Reason Auto Ins is so high in Florida, the state doesn't require an inspection of your vehicle and millions of people driving around with clunkers without Insurance. So you better have Uninsured Insurance. And keep it the same as your Bodily Injury limits. Don't you think as much about yourself and another driver who hits you or you hit them.

I'll self-insure my own "mayhem" for $1300 savings a year. :D Been buying auto insurance for over 55 years and never suffered a loss that was excluded. As for Allstate I had a bad experience with them home insurance related maybe 40 years ago when they actually had independent offices in Sears and swore I would NEVER give them a penny again but since they always seem to be twice as high as the competition that exclusion was easy.

Quit looking for something to argue about. The commercials were examples. I did not say use Allstate. Just giving you something to consider. You asked people for information, people give it........and you argue. Unreal.

HUH ? Having a bad day? I see you have 5500+ posts. ;) First of all, I asked NO ONE for any information in any of my posts in this thread, I simply posted MY DATA POINTS so it might be of some info for others. Second, where was I arguing? I just joked (NOTE THE :D in the post you are referring to) about "mayhem? I always found those commercials entertaining. Don't take it personally. So sorry if I offended you by not liking Allstate. Have a beer and relax.

Safeco is Liberty Mutual so i didn't check, but thank you, I will and add it to the OP.

EDIT: Update regarding Safeco: - tried getting a quote from them, they will only quote direct from their agents. That is how they differ from their "sister company" Liberty Mutual which sells online.

WOW ! That is STUNNING from lowest to highest.... good grief !

Did you change in the end to a lower price company ? Were you as satisfied as with your more expensive company ?
Thanks for sharing all this WORK :bigbow:

Is that ever true. Long ago I noticed some people answer everything on this site (amazing) and on other sights like the next door one, etc. It also amazed me because I know people get addicted to "social media", and I have fallen prey to that on "hurricane" days at times, but just amazed at how many do have the time. Also, in fairness, it really is VERY nice for those who have obviously been in trade and handymen jobs are will to share, those who have been in finance, insurance, worked for the IRS even, are willing to share with their friends and neighbors.... the old "double edged sword thing I guess !

Not satisfied or dissatisfied because (thankfully) I never needed to use them for auto and haven't had to probably since my kids started driving about 30 years ago !! I was involved in a couple accidents over the years but "the other guy" was always at fault and never went to my company since they always paid. My policy is due in 3 weeks. Haven't changed yet. Will probably give Geico a shot the way it looks.

I REALLY want to dump American "Integrity" but of course so many unknowns ! I originally had Horace Mann and continued it after moving to Fl 16 years ago now ! Never a claim in any state or home we had. The suddenly was notified a few years back that they were no longer going to provide insurance, so my Horace Mann "agent" (not much of a communicator like we had back in the Midwest, but no particular problem) just switched it to A. I. in Alabama of all places (seemed a bit strange for the main office of a major company, but.... okay). It was approximately the same price for same coverage, and THEN they DOUBLED the premium with NO CLAIMS have taken place. I am not beside myself. Never had so much "insurance" trouble in any other state, always major companies, agents who checked with your regularly (not to "up" your business at all, just to touch bases, know their clients, even meet you for coffee... and in a city of come 350,000 ! ) so just don't know where to start or what to do. Has anyone ever quit A.I. and taken new policy, paid, and then had the new company cancel in just a few weeks ? Head a story like that, and there was nothing at all unusual about the home, couple, or history. Also, seems so many companies here DO NOT have multi-policy discounts so you end up dealing with this person or that person, then they tell you to ONLY pay at the home office... just a whole different system to naive me !

Ladygolfer93 05-28-2020 02:17 PM

Hope you will share your experiences again when you decide. I've never had any kind of experience like this.... even the "agents" are rather detached ! I mean I don't expect them to bring me a cake on my birthday, but really, a call or note once a year ??? LOL ! Excessive I guess....

Ladygolfer93 05-28-2020 02:26 PM

So can you also have your home owners with them also for a discount NOT TO MENTION the convenience of just one company to pay at one time annually !

Ladygolfer93 05-28-2020 02:30 PM

IT ABSOLUTELY WOULD ! Yes, differences in autos, and miles driven, and driving records, but if people were willing to divulge that they have one speeding ticket, no claims, things like that, maybe even some of these "quotes" would be more uniform ? So many here have guaranteed incomes with should make a difference ? No "risk" of not being paid due to bad credit ? Insurance mess I call it !

I had American Integrity on my CYV from 2011 to 2018. It started at $505 and increased 5 times in 8 years up to $985 and never submitted a claim. I called Villages Insurance they put me with Coastal Insurance from Miami. Last year was $575, that was with 10% deductible on sink hole, AI was 15%, better insurance $400 less. This year I just got the bill, went up a little to $619.
