Bob was quite the party animal as well. Furthermore some of his official history is not backed up by documentation. Paperwork shows he was still married to his first wife (who he had married in Erie in January of 1933) whereas he alleges he married Dolores in Erie in February of 1934 (while he was actually in NYC). Birthdays are not a tradition in my old country. But... Bob Hope is an exception. He was a wonderful, caring individual. He not only supported the troops, he also helped orphaned children as casualties of the war from the OTHER side. The man was a great humanitarian. When I went to look at the Hollywood stars on the sidewalk, his was the first I went to see.
