Default Cell Phones for Soldiers.

Anyone familiar with this group? http://www.cellphonesforsoldiers.com/

I received an envelope from this group in a recent book I purchased from the History Book Club http://www.historybookclub.com/ and wondered about this?

Yes, there was an article in our local paper about one year ago discussing the group. They refurbish donated cell phones and give them along with prepaid calling cards to our troops overseas.

Last August when my family decided to sign up for a family plan and get rid of our old cell phones we donated them to this organization. You can either pay for the shipping yourself or go to their website and print out a shipping label.

It seems like a great cause and a good way to recycle old cell phones.

The kids at the Charter School were doing this as well....you can bring them to the Middle School office or to any member of the YouthAct group....the middle school community service organization....
