Default The Chaos of Charitable Donations

A very interesting perspective explaining why money is the best donation. From a TED talk article and video.

Dale Herzog is a logistics and supply chain engineer at the UPS Foundation. He held many operational and industrial engineering positions throughout a 41-year career at UPS. He worked in the humanitarian sector for his last 11 years there, helping improve processes and data visibility for NGOs (non-government organizations) worldwide. He lives in Louisiana.

After a disaster, don’t send teddy bears or clothing — send money. |

That makes sense...thanks!

I always use this site, before I send anything to a particular disaster/cause.

Check out "The Rotary Foundation" on Charity Navigator . At the very top of ratings.

TED is a very productive, thought provoking website. You can really get enthralled with talks on virtually every subject imaginable.
