Absolutely! People who gas up their car, and then go into the convenience store for 10 minutes without moving their car away from the pump. There was an empty car at the one diesel pump in the easy into lane, so I had to pull around the pumps to the other side after that lane opened up for me to pull through to, I filled a 25 gallon tank, and drove away before the woman even got back to her car, and blocked the entire lane, just getting lottery tickets. .

Gas up and then move away and park if you have to use the convenience store, instead of inconveniencing people who need to gas up and go by blocking one access lane to the pumps

I have a left-turn green light and am turning with other cars behind me making the same turn. There’s a car going the opposite way on 301 making a right turn on red. Although he’s not supposed to do that, I’ve come to expect it and I’m sort-of OK with it. What upset me is that as soon as he turned right, he pulled into the left lane right in front of me and I had to put on the breaks and almost hit him. There were cars behind me that had to stop too.

It just seems like many drivers can't handle turning right on red.

That and those that are merging with a YIELD sign, who dont yield and cause an accident, which means a big hassle for a new vehicle or lots of body work and a possible rental

The only rules are 1) no complaining about complainers, 2) no political complaints, 3) no complaining about TOTV, and 4) no complaining about the OP.

I’ll have mine in a little bit, but feel free to start us off.

After defending DeSantis Appliance & Air-conditioning 2 months ago, I've experienced how far they have fallen. I'm sorry I defended them on this platform. I was lied to repeatedly by their technicians. They were going to send the guy out to do a coil swap, that I told them I never wanted to see again. They wanted $1000 to replace a 4 year old coil that Air FX quoted me $700 to replace the same coil. There's more to the story but I'm trying to keep it short.

We dislike commercials so much we pay for the premium level of every streaming service we subscribe to just to avoid them, and if that’s not available we record a show to watch later, or don’t watch it at all. The worst are the drug commercials, so if there is a live event being televised where we can’t avoid the commercials I mute them, especially if they’re about drugs.

I have been trying to figure out how to post. Probably simple but, I’m missing something. Sooo here is what I would like to post

I live on the Bogart golf course. As you know, it is presently being renovated. I observed the maintenance people applying fertilizer, liquid and solid a number of times. There have been a few people walking their dogs on the course. tell me if I’m wrong, but isn’t it unhealthy to walk your dog on fertilized grass?

Green light has the right of way; red light has to yield.

Too bad. Commercials are communication and IMHO a means to learn.

I’ve given up on 466A. Being a northerner, I’ve don’t usually go below 466 except for my weekly visits to Shooters World. (Which is another of my complaints, How come there are no shooters world above 466?) I used to take 466A to there but now I just continue straight below 466A to 44A and turn right.

airstreamingypsy 04-28-2025 07:37 AM

I have two. The first is people who don't tighten up at traffic lights, but leave a car length between themselves and the car in front of them. They are blocking people from getting into turn lanes.

Then there are people who dawdle along in the passing lane, forcing others to pass them in the slow lane. They belong in the slow lane.

Then the people who checkout groceries, lots of groceries and wait until the lady finishes bagging and gives them amount they owe.... then they start digging through their purse for their wallet. Really? You didn't think to be ready with your credit card?

Yeah I know, that's three. I have lots more <g>

Contractors using pool bathrooms

Im
Sure this is more prevalent in the new areas ( Eastport ) but contractors should not be using our bathrooms that are inside the gates next to the pools. Period.

I totally get this, but as a guy who spent his career "in the field" (aka NOT a cubicle-dweller) without an office or hallway bathroom handy and with an aging prostate, I am sympathetic to the contractor's need. Especially on hot days where one needs to constantly hydrate and in the newer areas where there are not many gas stations or public buildings to duck into.

Much prefer if they left it clean and not look like a herd of pigs just went through leaving mud and debris everywhere.

Left turner might be trying to get into the right lane to enter a business, like a gas station on the corner. Whatever lane you think they should turn into, green light has "go" while red light still means "STOP".

MrLonzo 04-28-2025 09:02 AM

My general complaint is about people who don't follow the rules. They gain some advantage at the expense of those of us who do.

A corollary complaint is making up rules that aren't enforced. This encourages rule breaking and, if taken to the extreme, ultimately leads to anarchy.

A specific complaint within these general topics is people using the swimming pools without showering first. Yes, it is a rule! Why? Imagine all the chemicals and toxins that go in the water from those who don't bother showering first -- skin creams, sunscreens, hair gels, deodorants, after shave, perfumes ... and things you'd care not to think about.

Fuzzyjourneyfan 04-28-2025 09:03 AM

Grocery Lane Blockers

People who park their grocery carts in the middle of the lane and then just stand there, blocking the path for the rest of us. Yesterday, I was at Sam's Club and a woman did that to me. When I tried to squeeze around her, she turned her cart so that I couldn't get through that way, either. When she realized what she did, she apologized and we both had a laugh.

Self-awareness and being kind to others is not high on many people's priority list.

I think that people that USE very little amenities due to aging and living in The Villages for over 10 years SHOULD get a discount on amenity fees.

Television commercials where they jack up the volume. The Gob-O-Ment was suppose to stop that practice around 1970. I guess that the commercials were more important than what the citizens wanted.

Theoretically you are correct.
But if someone misjudges their lane, the person who had the greenlight is the winner. Right turn on red driver always has to plan around the greenlight driver.

Neighborhood swimming pools where people want to swim laps and won't go to a lap pool.

jimjamuser 04-28-2025 11:56 AM

People that play pickle's ball. Also golfers. Archers are just OK and softball players.

jimjamuser 04-28-2025 12:11 PM

Lottery tickets. Red cars and trucks. People that pay to have their lawn mowed. Cars and trucks with loud mufflers. Golf carts with gasoline engines. People that wear all black. People that wear all black when they are riding a bike or E-bike. People that feed ducks and geese bread. It should be grain like corn. Annual flowers on round a bouts. Tall plants blocking visibility on round-a-bouts. People inside using their "outside voices".

jimjamuser 04-28-2025 12:18 PM

Most TV commercials. Radio too.

I guess I was mislead. I have always called such amenities by their name....swimming pools. I guess this posted wants to call them the blue haired bobbers pool...suitable only for walking and peeing!
