Your dish washing detergent may well have chlorine in it.
Borax is an oxiginating bleach-not a chlorine bleach. It is also sold under the BRAND NAME OXICLEAN. It is far less expensive to buy the only brand I see 20 mule team borax
available lowes and Walmart at about 4.98 a box.
How much borax? 1/4 cup? Do you sprinkle it on top of the clothes or dilute it? Where do you put it in the DW? 1/4 cup? Do they sell it in WD or Aldi too?

A dishwasher repair person told me to buy a bottle of Glisten to clean the dishwasher. It works beautifully.

For calcium and glassware get a product called Lemi shine. Have a detergent, detergent and DW cleaner. Check on line and you can see uses and reviews.

I tried that but did not like it. Poor results.
