I just went to the E-Z Pass NY website to see which Florida roads now accept E-Z Pass and zero Florida roads are listed. The word FLORDA does not appear anywhere on their website which means anyone who didn't see this post o TOTV will et double charged if they carry both transponders.

Look at E-pass Xtra from Central Florida Expressway Authority. Works everywhere in Fl and all the way north to Maine and west to Illinois, everywhere EZ Pass works.

I looked at it and it still says only on CFX toll roads....what am I missing?

This link shows Florida as one of the states where EZPass Xtra is accepted:

Introducing E-PASS Xtra | Central Florida Expressway Authority

EZpass is not to be confused with EPass.

1. EZ pass can be used in 17 states but NOT in Florida
2. E pass can only be used in Florida
3. Sun pass can be only used in Florida
4. E Pass Plus, can be used in 18 states including Florida

That is CFX roads not FDOT roads.....Florida Turnpike will not accept EZ Pass as I read it. The roads that will accept it are: State Road 408 (East-West Expressway), State Road 414 (Apopka Expressway), State Road 417 (Central Florida GreeneWay), State Road 429 (Western Beltway), State Road 451 and State Road 528 (Beachline Expressway) which are in Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola and Seminole Counties.

This seems at odds with the original post. They indicated that their EZPass was charged near Disney.

After reading some of these comments, I think maybe I should get one of those bags that keeps my Sun Pass or EZ pass from being read.
Does anyone know where I can get one, and is there a cost?

EZ Pass will send you one for free.

From the "Central Florida Expressway Authority" web site:

If you are traveling on CFX roads with both SunPass and E-ZPass transponders, you are at risk for receiving charges on both prepaid toll accounts. For those customers with multiple transponders, it is recommended that you remove the E-ZPass transponder from your vehicle or place it into a Radio Frequency (RF) shield bag while driving throughout Florida in order to avoid the possibility of being charged more than once.

If you notice charges for the same date and time by both SunPass and E-ZPass for driving on CFX roadways, please email your toll transaction statements from both agencies to e-pass@cfxway.com and we will review and assist you with the dispute. If you have any questions or concerns, you can call (800) 353-7277. E-PASS Service Center hours are 8AM-6PM (Monday – Friday).

As a reminder, it’s important that both your SunPass and E-ZPass accounts are current and up-to-date.
