I have my own thoughts.

I can't remember seeing any animals in stores unless they were the merchandise (pets for sale).

I would be very surprised if it is commonly allowed for liability reasons. All it takes is one animal bite and the deepest pockets end up being sued along with the owner.

Nothing like a dog thread----almost as good as the old Political Threads! We shop SAMs Club maybe twice a month but frankly can't remember a dog (of any kind) in there….

Service animals. Personally I think the State is "too loose" regarding service animals. It appears almost any dog could be labeled a service dog and can accompany a person everywhere.

When I think of a service dog, I think of one that is in service of a visually impaired person. That is certainly not the case under the regulations today.

A dog riding around in a grocery cart in SAMs Club or any other grocery is just wrong IMHO. Its not about dogs----it about public health.

I do agree with most everything you stated. There are many senior communities in Florida that are not pet friendly. Fortunately, TV isn't one of them. I love nothing more than enjoying all the different breeds that live here. There ARE places that dogs don't belong (grocery stores being one of them), but I have a feeling that those that feel the need to complain about it, are the same ones who don't like to see them at all....no matter where.
