The reports I was watching, obviously were referring to Abaco's largest community Marsh Harbor...which is only 13 feet above sea level.

As for its barrier reef providing even a modicum of "relief" from a storm surge such as this, would love to see your citation(s)...as I've yet to hear that it makes any difference ifor Marsh Harbor.

Since the link says in some situations reef's "can" help in a storm surge...here's hoping that applies in this case.
