Default Drum and Bugle Corp

Has anyone here ever marched with a drum and bugle corp?
The DCI contest is now going on in Indianapolis.
I marched with the Boston Crusaders in 1971. They came in 3rd last night. Fabulous. These young people are between 13 and 22.

Crusaders were/are great. I was in the Mighty St. Joe's from Batavia NY way back then. I was in their "peanut" Corps. Loved going to the Drum Corps competitions.....

I was not in a drum & bugle corp but was a flag twirler in my HS band, and many of my fellow band members were also in the R.I. Matadores drum & bugle corp which this corp my flag twirling instructor was part of. My former hometown of Bristol, R.I. has a huge 4th of July parade where many of the well known drum & bugle corps would march in including the Boston Crusaders which these corps were the highlight of the parade. Although this corp only lasted a few years, the corp the Generations which were comprised of long retired former Matadores and some from different corps and would perform for exhibition and they always got a standing ovation as some of the members were age 60+. Hats off to you and former member of these corps as lots of hard work is involved in corp's performances as I got a little taste of that hard work having a corp flag twirling instructor.
