Please don't forget punctuation when you post messages. Capitalization? Many of us are guilty from to time to time and forget to capitalize properly. The lack of punctuation, however, will make your post illegible, illiterate, impossible to read.

I don't know about the others, but if I have difficulty in the first couple sentences of a post, I move on.

None of us are perfect writers, but please try to make our reading easier.

Also, don't be afraid to break your post with a couple carriage returns, or Enter keys, between thoughts. It gives us all a chance to breathe. It is easier to read than having to plow through 20 or 30 lines of type that have no paragraph breaks. If we have to try to reconstruct where sentences should begin and end, too, your message doesn't get through very clearly.

Tony,

Your post reminded me that several weeks ago someone here mentioned a style manual. It was not Chicago or APA or anything like that. It seems like it may have been published by
U. S. News and World Report, but I am not even remotely certain that I am on the right track. I believe it was one used primarily in the editing of newspapers and magazines. It may not even have been called a style manual. I can't remember.

At the time I think I even found it on Amazon and then promptly forgot all about it.

For some reason, I think it may have been in one of your posts. If anybody has any idea what I am talking about, please share the title again. This time I will find the book and buy it. There are times when I need one of those things.

btw, Tony, I have been trying to figure out what you are doing in that picture. Please explain if you don't mind.

Thanks.

The style manual is the Associated Press Style Manual.

That black thing in front of me is a camera with a long lens.
I am taking break during a photo shoot in the Everglades, and I am probably hot.
