Yes I know he is in Arizona coaching, still has home in the villages. After leaving Michigan, Rich did color broadcast for college games.

Some Morses live here.

Surely there are more. I thought everyone is famous for 15 minutes. :-)
|
I'm a legend in my own mind.

Norm Lewis...long time great TV weatherman from Baltimore, MD. I think it was WBAL (not sure) wonder if he's loving the rain.
|
One of the Doggie Doo Run Run regulars was among his many jobs a racer of cars. Would not call him famous but his name does show up in pictures of various regional races.

My maiden name is McCoy, I am one of the "real" McCoys!

Seems we're (surprisingly) quickly running out of famous TVers. I'll bet there's a few still layin' low out there. Don't blame 'em.... |

When we move down there, my mother-in law...Betty Crocker..will be coming with us.
|
We must be cousins. My maiden name is McCoy as well.

There was a pretty good photographer--Debra Raskin-- who used to come to Doggie Doo Run Run who has won some various awards and the like. She visited the Villages but am not sure she ever lived here. Have not seen her though near the Villages--Oxford-- since February 2012.
"Hurricane horses" is one of hers. http://www.nationalphotoawards.com/d...stwinners.html |
Tony Snow's dad, stepmother and sister-in-law live in The Villages.

Tal, you've certainly proved that you are a loving grandparent. I saw Rock of Ages last week, and if my grandkids wanted to see it, I'd pay their way and wait outside.

Also, several years ago there was a retired White House Chef living in The Villages. He was a long time Chef to several U.S. presidents. I think he might have been a dessert chef. Then Lou Ferrigno's (The Incredible Hulk) wife was interviewed. I think her sister lives here. She said she wanted to move here but Lou was reluctant for some reason. And she didn't want to force the issue because, well, you know what happens when he gets angry. |

No this is true. He purchased I believe in 2010. Has large family. Some of his extended family will stay her also. Very large large home. Cannot remember the village. His children come for short visits.

Did you know the CEO of RyanAir owns a home here.
|
A couple who has another home, I will just say, somewhere else, and also has a home in The Villages...had a room from their other home on the Television show, Million Dollar Rooms on HGTV.
The lovely thing about this place is that we have just ordinary folks of all kinds, all of an age, all who did something different for a living and for some it brought them fame and fortune for others it brought them security and wisdom and for all it brought them to THIS place. Smart folks, I'd say. We are getting so many new residents from what used to be considered the "posh" parts of Florida: Boca and West Palm and Marco Island. We all live here like the rich and famous. |
One of the people who brought us Saving Private Ryan has parents who live in the Villages. She would have received an Academy Award if this movie had taken Best Picture. It lost to Shakespeare in Love. Saving Private Ryan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Still seems like a bad outcome. Never understood the Academy voters choosing Shakespeare in Love over Saving Private Ryan. |
