Right now my friend bought a used fire-engine red Mercedes hard top convertible. Neat looking car and fun to ride in but not to get into or out of.
I had an early '70's MGB. Most fun car to drive, but I did need the mechanic to ride with me. That car was the reason I bought my 1st Miata. Drove like the MGB but bulletproof. I have owned 4 Miatas and still have 2, '99 10th AV and '15 Club hardtop.

I am thinking I might want to soup up my Miatas??? '99 has 44,000 miles & the '15 has 4,200 miles w/automatic. Turbo or supercharger? Maybe one on each?

I've owned three Miatas (NA Spec Miata, NB with Harddog, NC) and a 1974 steel bumper MGB.

At the moment, I am Miata-less, but hunting for another NB (my favorite body style).

BTW, I drove a new RF, didn't like it, wasn't the same sporty Miata as my '99 Hard S.

The experts and the only turbo upgrade I would buy

Flyin' Miata Turbochargers - NB (1999-05) - Shop our catalog

If you find someone local to install it, please let me know.

Also, I'm in the market for a NB, no tupperware, stick.

PM me if you know of one, now or in the future.

BTW, you might be intereseted in this

No Reserve: Modified 1999 Mazda Miata 5-Speed for sale on BaT Auctions - ending January 22 (Lot #27,252) | Bring a Trailer

Yesterday I was at Brownwood in the parking lot behind McAlister's Deli when I saw a car identical to this one. It' was orange, but looked really outstanding. I had to do a search of the entire US for find another orange for sale, this one is in Virginia for $75,000 new. For silver, black, white, blue, most of the other colors you can find in central Florida. Jaguar F-Type. You wouldn't have to buy a Turbo, it already is.

Why not let the car go and think outta the box and get a Custom Crazy Off The Hook Beautiful Golf Cart! Oh Yeah! Put together a rendering of what you have in mind and find someone to build it for you. Do something nobody else would ever build. Fine Tune One of your Miatas also.

This is a pretty car. Thinking new might be the way I go. Not sure if I'm ready to let Miatas go at this time.

Really?

Just curious, but...why not?

How about vehicles from Germany, Japan or other countries/regions?

The reason American automobiles became so poorly made in the 70's-80's, was the misguided idea and false patriotism of 'Buy American'...which allowed US manufacturer's to produce a lot of junk.

And the real irony of your position, is that the leading manufacturer, and pulling away...is an "Asian" company.

Gap between Korean brands and others continues to widen:

The three highest-ranking brands—Genesis, Kia and Hyundai—are all from Korean manufacturer Hyundai Motor Group, and the gap between these three brands and all others has widened considerably.

Remarkably, 16 of 18 models from Hyundai Motor Group rank in the top three in their respective segments:
.

These vehicles tend to perform especially well in the areas of infotainment and other electronic components.

If I had the money, I'd have Lexus LC 500. You can't go wrong with anything made by Toyota.

Love my Toyotas. I got Dad a Camry last year. 40 MPG. My Tacoma is a great truck. Toyota has the new sports car but not a convertible. Good looking car but the dealer keeps them roped off.
