While I won't say they were my favorite, the summer vacations on Cape Cod were pretty great looking back. For years all I could remember were the 8+ hour trips with 4 kids in a big chevy van -- not fun. But recently my kids, all grown now, were talking about those vacations and their memories. I'm so glad we made the effort. Now we can enjoy Tuscany (in April) without guilt!

I agree, I have a soft spot in my heart for "Ole Cape Cod". I spent a couple of summers seasons working there when I was in college. Great all night beach parties and many great memories. :beer2:

As a young girl of 14 I was fortunate to go on a "Chet Sampson Tour" of the Western United States. Wow, what an incredible time.......even thinking about it today. It was many station wagons, chuck wagon, first-aid wagon and closet wagons driven by football players and others from various universities. Yes, there were strict rules........but.....

Anyway the adventures were numerous and the fun continuous. I remember climbing Half-Dome Mountain..............lordy, lordy that took forever........and Hollywood......and the Grand Tetons and Jackson Hole, etc.
