Default Flag Rules & Regulations

This was posted in letters to the editor on the villages news .com

With Memorial Day fast approaching, I thought it fitting to post a link to the “Flag Rules & Regulations” Flag Code

Hopefully folks will read this and show the flag the appropriate respect it deserves. If you're going to line your property with little flags on sticks PLEASE make sure the sticks are long enough & sturdy enough to not allow your flags to touch the ground. I absolutely love the display of flags when done properly....Thanks Happy Memorial Day & a special thank you to all the men & women that have served!

"A veteran - whether active duty, retired, National Guard or Reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to the 'United States of America', for an amount of 'up to and including their life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." -- Anonymous

This Saturday, May 17 is Armed Forces Day. My neighborhood plans to display our flags en masse this weekend.
