The ice makers are not very good. Make sure to get repair plan.

Our last three fridges were all Whirlpools and they all had/have lousy ice makers. (We bought the first one; the other two came with our houses.) I would love to know what brand people own that does not have ice issues for when I replace my current unit.

I wouldn't buy an extended warranty, but, if you do, make sure it covers the ice maker. Some of them don't.

Had an LG and Whirlpool and Whirlpool Gold French door fridges. All of them had to have new ice makers--one twice. Even the one we decided not to have ice/water through the door had to have ice maker replaced. Just count on it.

Agree with others- ice maker bad. Ice cubes get stuck because they are double and triple cubes. Had repair guy out to house and he had no fix for it. Said nothing was wrong with it.

Ok ice issues on many brands, thank you all. Really need specific issues with Frigidaire French door, no ice in door only bottom freezer. Noises etc, hopefully some were bought during Lowes, Home Depot big Black Friday days. Any info greatly appreciated.
