Publix Instacart doesn’t work at all if you’re after toiletry items and cleaning supplies. Their site showed they had the items in stock and will deliver them. After waiting four days for my delivery they failed to deliver much needed items and stated they were out of stock. Well of course they are, if the employee shopper is trying to gather the items an hour before delivery naturally they’re out of toilet paper. Four days to collect the items and they failed to do so. You’re better off going to the store yourself if it’s items that you really need.

I use a meal plan service that is local, out of Ocala. It's $65/week for 3 meals, 2 servings each. It's delivered in a box to my door every Wednesday, and they retrieve the box and all packing supplies the next week, when they bring the next box. That was always one of my complaints.....how bad these programs are for the environment. The food is always tasty.

You click the little box that says "No substitutes".

Oh, but I did that. The shopper chose other stuff anyway. Then you're tasked with trying to get hold of Instacart. I did that too, but they never responded.

I guess your experience on Instacart is as good as the person who fills your order. The first one was good; the next two were bad. Now I do my own shopping, with a mask on.

I've had great experience, especially with regular stuff. Often I get really good substitutes like 16 oz instead of 8 for example. Often, if the store brand is not available they substitute the main brand. I agree that you take your chances with produce and meats, but the regular packaged things are great. I am staring to go into the stores a bit more now however as they get better stock and they aren't as crowded. I also uses their "pay" app which keeps the receipts and there is nothing to touch when checking out. Guess I'm just one of the "Deplorables".
