Default Gas prices in the Villages. Where is it lowest?

I just got regular unleaded gas for $3.19 at Circle K by the Southern Trace Shopping Center. The other station near there had regular unleaded at $3.21.

Of course, this might have gone up in the past few hours. >

This link does not seem to get some of TV gas stations' prices. http://gasprices.mapquest.com/search...d=&sortOrder=2

Here's another website for finding the cheapest gas prices.

I know that EXXON-Mobil is consistently the highest unlike their shareholder dividends which are some of the lowest.

There's a gas station on the corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Torrance Blvd.
  • $3.60
    • $3.80
    • $3.90

I wouldn't go there if I were you!!! Oh, forgot, its in L.A. guess you wouldn't be coming here real soon.

Just thought I'd share our bad news here on the west coast...

Just remember, Kathie, when it comes to gas prices California is about 3-6 months ahead of the rest of the country. It is really one of those as California, so goes the rest. In udder woids, we'll be at $3.60/gallon before the year is up. sigh

I just returned from North Carolina. I was fuming all the way. When I left the mountains of NC the price was $3.15.

All along Route 26 through South Carloina the price at all the stations and big truck stops was either $2.97 or 2.99.

When I crossed into Georgia the price went back up to $3.15.
Hitting Florida the price was $ 3.27 until I got through Ocala and then it went down to $3.15.

That just doesn't make sense. We are being ripped off and no one is shouting. WHY !!!!!!

A short answer is, because Americans have been willing to pay whatever they charged, so far. When prices get to a point that cause folks to change their driving habits, car pool, stop buying gas guzzlers, use alternative fuels, etc. then the oil companies might take notice. But only if they can't sell their products elsewhere in the world.

There is also the fact that the stuff is traded on the commodities markets and speculators are driving the prices upward based on factors other than current supply and demand. How else can we understand that an event happens somewhere in the world today, and tomorrow the price at the pump goes up.

Or, maybe it's just Bush and Chenney's fault.

:dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow:

Yes it is the speculators driving up the prices because they don't want to invest in the stock market. Prices do vary by state because of different taxes they add to the price. Michigan always added a lot of tax to the price. Was lucky here today in ARK went to Kroger's and with 10 cent discount only paid 2.86 a gallon.

I don't understand your issue. If it is the different prices in different states, that's easy. Taxes, primarily.

If it's different prices within a state, taxes play a small part but wholesale costs vary by region.

If it's that you consider gas prices too high in general, that's different. I don't think 3.25 a gallon is too high, but that's beside the point. Demand for crude oil and gasoline is steadily climbing worldwide while the supply is not increasing. Even if everyone in America were driving fewer miles or more efficient vehicles, it wouldn't impact world demand that much. Additionally, the dollar presently sucks. Consequently, our imports are much more expensive.

Cheapest I've seen regular in the Norcal East Bay recently is about $3.39 at Valero, Arco may be a few cents less. On the high side would be Chevron and Shell at about $3.59

All prices would be maybe a quarter or so higher in San Francisco.

Buy a gift card at Wal-mart, then use it at the Walmart gas station for a 3 cent discount. Last time price was $3.17 less 3 cents would make it $3.14 per gallon.

Lets start something here in the villages......lets all try to use our golf carts to go everywhere. Last month I only filled my tank once. Saving 60 gallons of gas. Now I am trying to improve on that and go two months.

They are now going to be adding more bio diesel fuel to the gas which will give you less miles per gallon..............didn't you notice......you are not getting the same milage.

Boy am I glad I live here, I can go almost everywhere in my golf car. Yeah!

I NEED a PRIUS!!! We spend about $100 per week to work. What we would save on gas would almost make the payment for the Prius, but they are going up in price, also. $24,000+ We have 163,000 miles on our 2002 vehicle. Anyone have a Prius they want to sell?? ;D
