Most terminals are "multi-brand" terminals, whereby you can select from a number of brands. The driver cards in and then the loading computer will ask what you want to select. Let's say you're hauling Exxon. You tell the computer you want Exxon, and how much. You make all the connections and load the truck. At the point where the gas is loading, the patented additives & ethanol blends are mixed as the truck loads. Every so often the driver will have to take a small sample to be sent to the company to be certain that the correct items are being added.

If you should purchase discount "no-name" gas there is a generic blend of additives & ethanol mixed when ordered. Stations that sell unbranded gas are buying it from whomever is the cheapest priced major supplier for that day. So in essence, you are not getting a "cheaper" gas you are getting brand-name gas without the brand's patented additives. Sort of like buying Store brand milk. It came from a major dairy, just doesn't have the brand name.

I'm sure that's 295% more than you ever wanted to know.

Maybe there is some truth to the ethanol rumor, the only gas they found last week was at the "Wave" station.

As of now gas stations today look normal, 100%

I used ethanol last week, truck ran fine, not sure I would use it on every engine.

You can't anyway unless you've got a Flex-Fuel engine. Most engines will stand E-10 to E-15 max. If you've got a Flex-Fuel you can run E-85, but if you do that in a regular engine with any regularlity you'll ruin it. (see your owner's manual) Almost all gasoline brands now have about 10% ethanol in them. It's pretty hard to find gas without it being E-10. The Feds want it to be upped to E-15, although most engines won't handle that in the long term unless they are Flex-Fuelers.

I met a lot of folks using it, but they do say if used for long periods they run regular gas thru ever few months.

I thought they were selling gas without ethanol, that's what I heard anyway.
