Just to be fair to both Barack Obama and John McCain, anyone whose been to Germany can attest to the beauty of the country, hearty food, great beer and friendly people. A great place for Obama to visit!
I can also say the same about Germantown in Columbus, Ohio, where John McCain visited one of the best German restaurants in North America - Schmidts! You've got to visit there at least once ~
