Default Taxes

Which state offers the best deal to retirees on all taxes? AL, FL, or other? I think AL does not tax property of those who are over 65. ???

For a start, you can begin looking at some factors to consider at the following links. Remember to keep property and sales taxes in mind as well as income and estate taxes. I advise checking with your tax advisor before you make any decisions:

Let us know what you conclude ~

Thanks for posting the links. Plenty to think about it those. I already know we are living in a "high tax on low income" state and to watch out for property taxes. I'm in Indiana. It taxes everything and then some!

Some counties in Georgia charge 1/10th the real estate taxes that Florida charges for those over 65. Forsyth County just north of Atlanta is one of them.. If you're interested in the area, send me an email.
