Pavers or Tile for Pool Cage?
Need Pro and Con information about using Pavers or Tile to surface pool cage deck over existing cool sealed concrete. Any actual experiences using either of these is appreciated.

Tile can be a slipping hazard . Florida Tile did make a tile at one time that had a texture to it . Kind of like a non slip surface. I used them in a bathroom and they worked very well. Around my pool I used brick pavers for more of a non slip surface , it was around 1500 sq ft. I think if you look around the pools in the villages you will see a light colored paver used. A light color won't hold the heat like a darker colored paver. My pool up north had a red brick paver color and it got as hot as you know what in the summer.

But keep in mind the pavers at the pools are on a sand bed...no concrete.

Mine are on concrete, works perfect all the driveways are on concrete.
Not an issue. I also have about 200 sq on sand around the pool no problems

Talk to Clint at Pooters at market night in LSL.
He did our pool deck in pavers including some in 12 inch square to look more like an interior room. He also did our driveway. Very pleased. |
