I switched to BING

I too don’t like the search results I get from Google. Always seems to put me in a marketplace. Maybe I have my browser set up wrong. All I know is that BING gives me the results I want. Different strokes…….. works for me

If I type in "florida long-neck turtle" I don't get ads for TMNT toys. I get links to Wikipedia, various agriculture and animal websites, some links to pest control websites, and an option to see thousands of images of florida long-neck turtles.

Oh, watching those long-necked turtles is about as relaxing as watching grasshoppers fly around a milo field. Decipher that one for an ADDITIONAL 10 bonus shopping points!

Yes, you've set your default to the wrong thing. Either that or you're using google to search for products that are commonly sold, more than they're discussed. Google will return the "most likely" results based on what other people use that phrase for, and what you have used it for in the past, and what you USUALLY use google for (the default).

So for example:

If your last year was 80% looking up things you wanted to buy from Walmart - then the next time you type in "kitchen table" you are likely to find ads for kitchen tables - with Walmart somewhere at the top of the list, including some "sponsored" options.

If your last year was 80% looking up woodworking crafts and places to buy wood stains and brushes, then the next time you type in "kitchen table" you are likely to find instructional resources for crafting kitchen tables, including stores like Michaels and Lowes as resources to buy raw materials from.

If you last year was 80% looking up "politics involving the Brazilian rain forests" then your next "kitchen table" result might very well be some political stories about how the Brazilian rain forest is being decimated by people who want to make kitchen tables with exotic materials.

Much of the Google source code is open source. Some is proprietary.

Soooo, now I understand why you have a “researched” opinion about every single thing on this site. ..

Of course they do . 6 companies control 90 % of our media and they definitely have an agenda. But that said who owns the website you posted ? Please let us know .

The rich paid less taxes in the 50's than they do today. I've shown you this, time and time again (via data from the IRS), yet you keep repeating the same nonsense over and over again...
