Default Sunburn through clouds.

Was wondering if I could get a sunburn on a cloudy day like today? Looks like the answer is yes at least at times today. http://www.bchealthguide.org/kbase/t...n/overview.htm

No, I do not own stock in any sun tan lotion companies. :joke:

The rule of thumb
Anytime, you are outside, cloudy or sunny,
you should wear SPF of 30 or more, at least.
On all exposed skin including face, neck, back of neck
and if in shorts, ladies, on the backs of our knees
[center]
I believe, I've read that's one of the areas most people forget and where melanoma can start
When in doubt, put on sunscreen and sunglasses, it really pays to be cautious

Yes, I own J&J stock so therefore have a stake in sunblock sales... :joke:

Tal -- Don't thank Kathi. She's just trying to get her stock to go up.

A simple rule of thumb is if it is overcast and you can still see some yellow or the overcast is pretty bright, use sunscreen. If it is a dark overcast, you don't really have to worry about it. However, it doesn't hurt to always use sunscreen and definitely use sunglasses on the bright overcast days -- it is really easy to get sun blindness on those kind of days. (And, no, I don't own any sunscreen company stocks.)

Red, my stock hasn't moved in years so I'm ready to give it up. But, if we can make 400,000 views here on TOTV, nothing says a little advertisement won't help the J&J stock. TOTV is very powerful, don't forget.

Your rule of thumb is probably more accurate, but my rule is easier for us dumb ones. Always wear sunscreen, especially if your fair like I am, (and shy of course). The sunglasses, however, is not for sun blindness, but I've seen an increase (not a large increase, but an increase all the well) in cancer of the eye with 2 of my girlfriends. One, unfortunately, didn't make it, but the other caught it in time. And, since all of you are my friends and I love you, I want to be sure you take care of yourselves in '08 and forever. Love, Kathie
