I follow the Royal Family and have for years. The interview was very sad to me. Here is a couple that have had a privileged life, specially Harry who was born into it. I understand Megan had problems with the press but so do a lot of other royal family members & celebrities. She was a TV actress and should know that's what sells papers, articles & podcasts.
I feel they aired their complaints in public to get attention. They have the money Harry inherited from Diana. I completely agree the Royal Family should have cut out their stipend, they were not working as Royals. I see nothing but spoiled brats complaining about their life while wearing thousand dollars dresses & shoes. The baby's skin color would be typically mentioned, why not. She is half black, they didn't say, "Oh, No the baby might be black skinned" They need to grow a pair. Maybe I am just old & don't worry about how others act around me. No one promises us a life of riches & nothing negative. You didn't miss a thing with not seeing the interview. |
I agree about Megan, who wants to commit suicide & not get help. She had no issue leaving LOndon for the US for her baby shower.

Meghan claims “racism”. I haven’t heard anything specific. Perhaps the ? She heard 2nd hand re the color of the baby’s skin. I would think that even Meghan & Harry wondered about that. Wouldn’t that be a natural thing to want to see. Doesn’t every parent want to know the color of baby’s eyes or hair or how they look to the world. Me thinks Miss Markel not happy with looking too Black since she has had her hair straightened since she was old enough to make that decision. (As I mentioned in another post.) She’s a phony & has dragged Harry into that realm. Very sad.

What I find sad that a bunch of old people are so judgemental. I wish Harry, Megan and their children a long happy life.

Using past experience with their thin skin...hmm I very much doubt they are laughing. More like planning another Oprah interview.

I found it interesting that Oprah asked, did they want it both ways, walk away from being working Royals, but keep the stipend and the security (around $4,000,000 annually) to be paid for by the taxpayers they prefer not to work for?

I can't imagine having to turn over my driver's license and passport to "the organization". That is losing a lot of personal control. I recall reading Kitty Kelly's "The Royals" and coming away with a lot of empathy for the royal family. They really have no authority and are just paid and supported by the taxpayers to maintain a historical fantasy, like characters in a play.
I don't understand why US citizens even care about this. But there certainly are too many irate opinions. Is this Face book? |

The hair straightening is so not politically correct, Michelle Obama has straight hair, as does her girls. Does that really make them hiding their heritage? Our grandchildren are not the pure breed you seem to except. They are much loved no matter what color they were born with, but were raised to understand not everyone would except their “of color background”. |
