It seems like any major road going north/south along the coastal regions can be very dangerous, way too much traffic. It’s gonna get down to 0 degrees at our northern home tonight, can’t wait to be driving on SR 19 south after the holidays: )

Much of US19 is beautiful. Especially that north of Hudson.

Bad design of roads meant for heavy and fast moving traffic in highly populated areas. Heavier cars and trucks are some of the problems on US 19 in Pasco and Pinellas Counties. There are way too many businesses and homes near large numbers of quick moving vehicles. Pedestrians need to cross six lanes of highway in some areas. And there are few sidewalks and only a few overpasses for pedestrians.

Just highlighted a few of the problems.

Guess they need to figure out why people need to cross the highway? Is there a need to and if so do they use the available crosswalks or is it to inconvenient, etc?

Probably there are lots of reasons they cross US19. It is almost always a throw of the dice if you survive unless it is at spots that get a lot of pedestrian traffic.

I did that before I posted but no luck since I don’t subscribe. I was hoping the post would become more than just a reprint of some headline and maybe the author of this post would offer some of their perspective?

Click on paper clip on daily article at bottom left and then wait until it loads that day's installment.

Yes, clicked on the link…..in addition to needing to click on the sub headlines or that small dark paper clip on the bottom left of the dark picture (was never in the instructions). Now I know why some still read the hard copy, LOL
