Default Pool Owners

Our house and pool were built in 2012.
Since that time the Hayward Ecostar filters mother board and pump have been replaced due to a "communication error" reading.
Thankfully it has been covered under a 3 year warranty. But it keeps happening.
Anyone else having this problem or am I just the lucky one?
T&D is perplexed as well.

I also have a pool that was built around 2012, I don't have any problems with the filter but I have had problems with the mother board on my Hayward gas pool heater. I have had T and D and Hayward out 7 times but they still can't seem to narrow down the cause. I asked them (Hayward) to just change out the heater, but they would rather just keep coming out and repair it. Seems to me to not be very cost effective.

The computer mother board on the pump and the box on the wall have both been replaced since January 2015.
Today we got a call from T&D that the communication error has happened again.
They will check it out tomorrow and let us know.

New mother board replaced on the pump.
T&D thinks it could be from lightning but none of our neighbors have had a problem.
Guess the next thing we can do is have a surge protector added to the pool equipment directly.
Have the SECO whole house protector now but need more protection.

Now the mother board on tha wall of the house croaked again!
T&D has no idea what's going on.
This is 3 new boards on the wall unit and 3 new pumps.
We have at he SECO surge protector and each electrical box in the garage have built in protectors too.
Have never had a breaker trip or anything else so not lightning.
