This is supposed to explain why competitors cluster.

That land was worth a lot to HD. Bet he did very well on this.

So this offsets the news that some of the new Villages may be in a flood zone. (Not verified by me yet.) I am a Home Depot Lover. The only reason you would ever see me at Lowes is a zero-interest deal on something big or my wife has the car. Home Depot #1

The Lowes on 466A is a smaller store than the Lowes on Rt 441. It seems like every time I go there, they don't have what I need. I will be glad to have a Home Depot close by.

I love Home Depot and it would have been nice to go by golf cart but since you can’t I will just continue to shop at Lowes. The existing Home Depot is closer to me so if I need to take the car I will go there.

Lowes offers a discount for veterans. I do not believe Home Depot does.

A 10% discount for military started in 2021. Previously it was limited to certain holidays such as Memorial Day, etc. Good to see !

I go to Lowes and Home Depot and I have not noticed any significant differences between them. If I went into either one blindfolded and took it off once I got inside, I don’t think I could tell the difference.

Why do people prefer one over the other?

Prices, selection, customer service, etc.??

Too bad we aren’t getting a Costco or Trader Joe’s.
And a mile from ACE. Bye, bye mom and pop store.

IMO: HD has better brands of paint for sure, Behr. Valspar at Lowes uggg 3 coats. Has better building supplies. Truck rentals.

Lowes: Better choice of interior design products, ie lighting, curtains, decorative stuff. Selection of appliances.

I’ll stick with Lowe’s who provides a discount for all veterans.
