Local hospital at trailwinds
 
This hospital is not on Villages land so it has nothing to do with the developers of the Villages. This is wonderful news since I have been to the ER in Summerfield as well as the new one on 466a several times. Both are well run and I have had excellent care at both facilities. This hospital would be affiliated with both of those . So happy to hear that since it would now become my closet hospital. The question we should be asking is, will the Villages ambulances take you there or will the developers force the ambulances to continue to use the villages hospital

The Villages doesn't have ambulances, just so you know.

No kidding. One of the things that prompted my wife to retire. Coming from Washington State she would literally be taking a 50% cut in pay as a Nurse.

The ambulances don't force one to go to The Villages Hospital. The will take you as far north as the Ocala Health Summerfield ER (as of last spring).
