Hot Enough Yet

I am originally from Canada, you are never going to hear me complain about the heat! I spent 30 years of my life living in negative temperatures

Don’t find it hot at all. Absolutely love the summer in TV, best time if the year.

YOU LIED TO ME

Soon I'll be at my cabin in the woods on the lake in the mountains with an average temp of 74 degrees. We even have campfires at night.

I do not agree with your post. Is it hot here, yes it is. So...go out in the early AM and get your outdoor things done...Afternoon, stay in A/C...Evening, go out about 7:00. Problem solved.

As to your issue....put your big boy pants on and accept the decision that YOU made to come here and don't try to pass it off on anyone else. You're an adult...Yeah I know you were just trying to yank chains, but there are way to many whiners on forums. I ain't funny mate.

You can say that again.
Must be pretty cool up there on that old horse of yours!:icon_wink:

Villagers call us ‘Snowbirds’. WRONG!
We don’t fly south to avoid snow. We fly north to avoid the Heat and Humidity.
How about calling us ‘H&H Birds’?

Instead of two homes, buy one with a pool. Or get acclimated by exercising outside. It will improve your health too.

from the CDC:

Acclimatization is the beneficial physiological adaptations that occur during repeated exposure to a hot environment. These physiological adaptations include:

Increased sweating efficiency (earlier onset of sweating, greater sweat production, and reduced electrolyte loss in sweat).
Stabilization of the circulation.
The ability to perform work with lower core temperature and heart rate.
Increased skin blood flow at a given core temperature.

Believe it or not my home has central air and my car has air conditioning.

That’s OK. One more tee time

An option if you want a break from the heat, but want to get out of the house, is to go to the Lake Square Mall and walk; and then see a movie at the AMC, or go bowling there, etc. they have a large entertainment complex there. We do that at least once a week during the hotter months. Become an ‘A-Lister’ at the AMC (which is all recliner seating, and is reserved seating which currently is socially distanced) and the movies cost very little. It’s a fun afternoon, especially if you add eating at the Ichiban Asian buffet (wonderful, and also has sone American food) next door, the mall’s food court, or one of the many other nearby restaurants.

Plus many indoor rec center activities, entertainment options at Lazymacs etc. make it easy to get a break rom the heat. We have many more indoor activity options for our age group than could be found anywhere else!

We have become more acclimated to the heat over the years of being here.

I love the heat. Feels great on my arthritis. I don't mind golfing in the middle of the day.
Just have to drink more fluids.
Can't understand why you're living here if the heat bothers you that much.

No snow in the forecast!

😊 We are also from the far north. Our first summer was a shock. Believe it or not you get used to it, or maybe the shock just wears off. I envy your cabin in the woods! Enjoy!
