The last time I looked for an alternative to the $12/day on airport parking was for Christmas week 2014. There weren't any places that I could find. They basically have a monopoly.

No there are no off site parking places. I did read that someone spent the night at a local hotel and delivered them to the airport and let them park at the hotel. I haven't done it myself so I can't speak first hand.

They have a Park & Fly program with a shuttle van that departs every 30 min. from 5am-10pm daily. The rates are: $6+tax/day if you stay at the hotel prior to the trip, or $8+tax/day if you do not stay. You need to call and give them your travel info at least 2 days in advance so they can schedule you for the right shuttle departure (van only holds 11, so they plan departures accordingly).
