Default Hurricane Florence

To those who had friends and relatives in NC how did they make out after the hurricane?

They tell me New Bern looks like a war zone.

Kinston is still flooding.

Bogue Banks lost an iconic pier I've been visiting since the 70s.

The fire department was called out to hose off massive numbers of dead fish littering sections of I-95.

I could go on but it's just sad.

I'll be heading up next week to try and sell my house, which from the outside seems OK.

Home was just inspected. Their house was on a hill with a large pond behind, on the golf course. Water came to about the 8 foot level on stilts. Homes around them did not fare as well. They are hearing at least 35% of homes near had major water damage even on stilts.

Good news very little damage. Bad news ugly kitchen only had one issue, the glass top stove shatter from something falling on it.

Sadly he said there is so much damage many will not be moving back for a long while.

I know most have already moved on from this but I also know it is far from over for so many. Tal I hope you hear something soon. To the rest of you I hope things work out.
