Default Hurricane Preparedness Check-List.

Hurricanes | Ready.gov

This might come in handy. Especially if you have friends in the Carolinas and/or Virginia.

A good reminder, given that this hurricane is tremendously big and tremendously wet.

Thumbs up Good Hurricane Story

My sister and her husband own a large southern typical home (5 bedrooms) in Raleigh, NC which they also use as an ARB home. It will actually sleep up to 10 persons and it has a little lake, stocked with fish, on 4 acres of land. It is always rented out but this week they decided to leave it empty so they could do some maintenance, etc. Then the Hurricane was coming. They received a call from a Tree Company in Georgia (State Co. and they asked if they could rent the ARB. They are coming with 5 crew for the Hurrican, 1 Chef and 1house keeper. In addition they will have 2+ generators, one for the house and one for cooking in case there is a power failure. My Sister and Husband have a rather large and nice apartment which they built years ago as a private usage apt for them.
This was really a wonderful surprise. Talk about incredible luck and help at the right time. It is really a
beautiful ARB which is used a lot of times for weddings, family reunions, etc.
