I checked the menu out. My father-in-law loved liverwurst

In my home town we had a bakery (Cato's) that made the best Italian and Sicilian breads. Their Sicilian bread ( they were Silicians) had a hard crust and the center of the bread was the texture of creamy cake. Loved it. Can't find Sicilian bread either

Pizza, good Chinese take out, decent hot dog like Ted's in Buffalo, beef on weck, corn where you start the water boiling before you go pick it, good fresh tomatoes of any kind, a real flea market vs the re-sellers markets they have at Markets of Marion, Rennigers and Webster, a real bakery, a really good philly cheese steak, a crisp apple picked fresh from the tree and the juice just bursts out when you bite into it, and some others.

It seems to me that most of the local grown fruits and vegetables in Florida lack flavor. It must be the limestone soil or something. Just take a fresh grown strawberry from here and California and taste the difference. And I use California only as an example because you can get them at the same time. But could also compare to anywhere North of the mason dixon line except the seasons don't match. And because the population of Florida has a high percentage of transplants, many things are brought here from other places but the transition doesn't seem to quite make it as good as the original.

Now the warm weather, sunshine and no snow do make it a great place to live and I can travel and get all those things I miss.

An original Western Pa. Millers Hoagie. I have yet to find a sub/hoagie that compares to the Original Miller.
